JALAN CINTA PARA PEJUANG VI

~Langkah Kedua: Dunia Kita Hari Ini

Where we are heading
I feel it would be no harm just to re-EMPHASIZE  on the basic understanding of each part of the book the writer intends to instill to the readers.

Langkah Pertama
Reading this part of the book helps you to comprehend the meaning behind that path of love; the path the fighters take for the love of their Lord and the love for this deen; unlike the broken, devastating and temporary love that is now amplified by youths these days, or even back in the past.

Langkah Kedua: Singgah Untuk Menaklukkan
You will find that this part of the book unfolds the secret behind creating a bigger impact in so little time and effort. The writer also defines the Age in which we are engaging in, in order for us to conquer and make changes towards it, as well as through time itself.

Langkah Kedua: Hujan dan Awan Saling Melupakan
This part of the book provides multiple perspectives belonging to the western orientalists regarding spirituality and  religion. These views depicting the behaviour of human beings have been purposely diverted to have an adaptation of animals, simply to defy the existence of religion and God in their findings.

ABC
ABC simply stands for; Abstinence, Be faithful and Condom.
Abstinence movement was created by a group of american teenage girls who fought hard for the abstinence of committing sexual intercourse with men other than their future spouse. How did it start? Simply because they have already witnessed the pitfall of this awful practice that was once known to be "progressive" and "modern".
Dear fighters of this righteous path, the world now needs to fight to get things right, to put a stop onto inhuman acts put to practice worldwide. The world needs Islam so badly, but they don't even know it...

It is now easy to find libertarian who seek to find reasons to defy the commandments of Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala  in the Qur'an and to defy the layouts of this beautiful deen of ours. Some others search to find Hikmah behind these commandments. Generally, the society has lost faith in Allah's commandments. They forgot how beautiful Allah has put His Creations to work.

There is also a story of ABC written in a very famous novel called Les Miserables, involving a group of young men with very unique attributes who fought in a revolution that was heading for a downfall.

This section of the chapter not only explains the movements caused by the ignorance of Allah's commandments, but also highlights  Pemuda, the young generation who are generally involved in these causes.

Lelaki Warna-warni
The writer tries to bring about the massive changes occurring in the world of men; from the appearance-conscious metrosexual  to the intellectual and societal-conscious ubersexual men.
"The world hopes more for young men who spend their time to read, enjoin in various courses, get up to date with the current issues, rather than  those who spend their time in the salon, do their hair, make their face or even patch-to-match and accessorise! The world hopes for young men of the future, young men who have deep concern with the surrounding, the stake of society, the verdict of mankind..." says Marian Salzman.

Indeed, the world has changed, people have changed. But we have with us in this path of ours, an example greater than any ubersexual men of all time. It is none other than Rasulullah SAW,our leader (Imam) in this path of truth. Truly with us also, a group of men better than those described in ABC, and they are the Men of the Cave (Ashabul Khafi)..

Alis jelas memaparkan kejernihan wajah. Langsung tidak hadir kerut di dahi.

"Mana mungkin agama membawa pecah? Mustahil!" Sang tua menghamun.

"Jangan pernah kamu mendengar syair Muhammad, nak."

Bebelannya belum habis. "...masyarakat berpecah!"

Abu Bakar tertambah sebak. Mata menahan tangis semahunya. Tangan yang hampir menyuap teragak-agak meneruskan.

"Muhammad itu gila!" Nada naik lagi satu oktaf. "Jangan percaya kata-katanya."

Tuan Haji Ahmad Azam, ayahanda almarhum Ahmad Ammar.

Sungguh agung kebijaksanaan al-Qadir, Yang Maha Merancang, dalam menentukan arus dakwah  daie cilik Ahmad Ammar. Dakwah beliau tidak mati kerana kematian. Lihat sahaja usaha dakwahnya yang diagung-agung seluruh masyarakat Malaysia. Ceritanya meniti bibir-bibir.

"Ajari aku Islam, nak."

~Langkah Kedua: Dunia Kita Hari Ini

Awan dan Hujan sering melupakan
Yeap. Dear readers, having to read this part of the book requires a lot(and I mean, a lot!) of philosophical background to bring you towards comprehensive matters brought up by the writer on different views of the world regarding on SPIRITUAL QUOTIENT.

All the while, let's not forget the importance of this part of the book to further allow us to see the world we are to commence with. We are indeed striving and fighting for one path, the true path of this life; the path to our Rabb. But in the world we are in today, we would be dealing with a lot of fighters, fighters who have paths of their own. Because of that, we would all have to be weary of an extensive clash that will eventually take place sooner or later.

  • Be it Sigmund Freud with his theory; Psychoanalysis that claims the spiritual dimension of human beings is a sublimation of animal instincts, inspired by the philosophical reference of Darwin's theory of evolution.
  • Be it John B. Watson's Behaviorisme theory, that brings logical scientific explanation of the Psychoanalysis theory, but doesn't run away from the understanding that humans and animals are not that far apart.
  • Be it Ivan Pavlov that introduces Classical Conditioning as a theory that supports the two above, but proven the concept by an experiment with a dog.
  • Be it Burrhus F. Skinner with his theory; Operant Conditioning that introduces the "Reward and Punishment" concept in management. He also claims that only by understanding behavioural aspects of animals will us explain even the most complex behaviour of human in his "Skinner Box" experiment.
  • Be it Danah Zohar and William Bloom that claim SQ is nothing similar to being Religious.

Unlike the mutual dependence of Cloud and Rain, Western Orientalists have separated Spirituality with Religion. The trauma the Westerners have towards the history of the Church that was once known to be an institution that has complete authority over the people may have not yet resided.

Spirituality and Religion; inseparable from each other

Mereka berjuang sebagaimana kita berjuang. Maka mungkin saja akan ada perbenturan. Dan Pertempurannya adalah pertempuran iman.. Bersiapsiagalah selalu di Jalan Cinta Para Pejuang.."

Jalan Cinta Para Pejuang IV

~Langkah Kedua: Dunia Kita Hari Ini

The Three Rules of Epidemic or The Tipping Points of Epidemic

Malcolm Gladwell suggested three agents that are responsible in causing changes to a certain condition. They are The Law of the Few, The Stickiness Factor and The Power of Context.

The idea that the first agent(The Law of the Few) brings is that success of any kind of social epidemic is heavily dependent on the involvement of people with a particular set of social gifts. According to Gladwell, economists call this the 80/20 Principle, which is the idea that in any situation, 80% of the work will be done by 20% of the participants. A great change can be made by just a few people.

While The Law of the Few discusses on the messenger, The Stickiness Factor explains about the message itself; the specific content of a message that renders its impact memorable. To test the efficiency of the messenger, the message has to effectively make an impact to the memory. It is when you clarify and present each importance of the content that will make a particular message memorable.

In The Power of Context, Malcolm Gladwell explains, "Epidemics are sensitive to the conditions and circumstances of the times and places in which they occur"A character or an attribute of oneself can never be easily described in a permanent term and often not easily identified straight away. This means, that one can behave differently at a different time and situation, depending on the context he or she has been exposed to.

A character of a true Fighter is not often said to be influenced by a particular context, having said that the context itself must be understood. Once the context have been perceived, only then we are able to master it!

Jalan Cinta, Singgah Untuk Menaklukkan Zaman
Age (Zaman) is a massive CONTEXT that frames our path as a Fighter. Ia menaklukkan. Dan jika ingin menaklukkannya, sebaiknya kita memahaminya terlebih dahulu."

Seperti kita semua
Setiap pejuang adalah anak zaman
Tetapi mereka menguak celah dinding  sejarah
Tepat di saat mentari meninggi
Lalu peradaban menjadi lebih cerah

Which Era frames our Path?
Stephen R. Covey's The 8th Habit presents history in five different ages. There's the Hunting Age, the Agriculture Age, the Industrial Age , the Informative Age and the Wisdom Age in which has just begun. "The era in which we are heading to is Wisdom", says Stephen.
Sejarah sedang singgah
dan mengulurkan tangannya yang ramah
tak ada lagi sekarang waktu
untuk merenung panjang, untuk ragu-ragu
karena jalan masih jauh
